The current tour bike that Pathfinder leads with is a Honda Varadero 1000cc. We have only good things to report about this bike to date. It eats up any road from Autobahns to Alpine curves and has great economy and storage space.

Packing - Less is more. Work out what you need then half it! Keep in mind you will be able to wash clothing at hotels where we stay for more than one night

The following is a list of clothing taken for one person on a two week trip:

4 x T-shirts - 1 x Trousers - 1 x Jumper - 4 x Socks - 4 x Underwear - 1 x Shoes (Trainers) - 1 x Bomber Jacket - 1 x Baseball Cap - 1 x Shorts - 1 x Towel - 1 x Sunglasses - 1 x Towel

N.B. There is normally a pillion on our bikes when we ride so the above list will be twice the amount and all fits nicely into the top box.

On The Bike:

2 Piece leather race suit - Motorcycle Boots - Helmet - Motorbike Gloves - 1 x T-shirt - 1 x Socks - 1 x Bandana - 1 x Waterproofs (Stored in the Tools Panniers).

If you have some room left amongst your panniers and tank bags you will be tempted to take more than you need. However we appreciate the need for some luxury items and have put together the following list as to what we consider luxuries and what we include in our packing.

Book (you won't get time to read it!) - Spare gloves - Spare neck warmer - Video Camera (would be a shame not to get some action shots) - Video Camera Charger - Tapes (Video) - Knife/fork/spoon (good for a picnic) - Food bags - 2 x small plastic containers (keeping food fresh) - Hand wipes - Paracetamol or resolve (obvious reasons) - Notepad & pencil (supplied by Pathfinder)

N.B. All the items we have listed pack easily into a Tank bag, side pannier and a top box and still allows for one Side pannier to be empty (which we would utilise to even out the weight)

Remember you will want to bring souvenirs back with you so leave some space to store your trinkets and gifts
